I saw this picture on an advertising display at a grocery store. Let's evaluate:
-Scary jack-o-lantern: check
-Burning Halloween text: check
-Bat and witch silhouettes upon full moon: check
-Ghost of Abraham Lincoln: . . . huh?
Since when was Pres #16 the subject of anyone's fright night? I still chuckle when I see this and I still have no idea why he's in this picture, lol. Anyone have a good explanation for us? I sure don't.
I'm the kind of person who enjoys watching commercials. Yep. And even though pretty much the only broadcast TV I watch is professional sports, it's enough to fulfill my advertising appetite. Sometimes, commercials even make for a good blog post.

It is basically DirecTV advertising one of their features in which the viewer can pause whatever they're watching in one room of the house and continue watching it in another. I have to admit, the technology is actually pretty cool, but it's also very American. . . and by "American" I mean indulgent.
Think about it. Who is that obsessed that they can't pause a movie for 5 minutes? No one I know. But then again, I have friends.
Many experts and analysts are debating whether we're going into another recession or whether we never made it out of the first one, etc, etc. Well, I say we're still in the first one. How do you know?
... when an article on the front page of MSN in the money section talks about how to talk your way out of a ticket? Rough economy? Don't worry, MSN's got your back. Soon, we'll be seeing articles like:
"How to skip your mortgage payment and still keep your house!"
"Repo-Shmepo: They're just trying to scare you out of your car!"
"How to tap into your neighbor's cable and make it look like an accident!"
